My Pasta Personality

Today I found the greatest little personality quiz on facebook.
http://www.facebook.com/Carrabbas?sk=app_142632109083371

My pasta personality results said I am "Spaghetti".  I must say I have to agree.
It went on to describe my personality as:

"genuine and well loved, like Carrabba’s Spaghetti and Meatballs. Your warm and comforting personality makes you everybody’s best friend. So go for our equally popular hand-prepared meatballs over perfectly cooked imported spaghetti."

What do you think?  Go ahead and take the quiz yourself and see what "Pasta Personality" you are!  I'd love for you to comment back and tell me what they say!

All this talk about pasta makes me hungry for it.  I think I just may make some tonight.  It would be perfect because the weather is cold today for mid-May.  There is nothing like the smell of pasta sauce simmering on the stove to make this place smell like "home".  I have to admit it is not a common smell around here lately, but I guarantee it will put a smile on my kids' and husband's faces!  I can see it now...  My seven year old son will walk through the door and exclaim, "hey!  It smells like food in here."  My ten year old daughter will wonder if we are having company for dinner, and my husband will ask, "what's the special occassion?"

Here's my favorite pasta recipe that they all love:

1 lb mild or hot Italian sausage according to taste
1 clove minced garlic
1 can tomato sauce
1 can stewed tomatos
1 TBLS Italian seasoning
1 green bell pepper diced
1/2 diced white onion
1 small can sliced black olives drained
salt & pepper to taste
1 pkg. penne pasta

Cut sausage into bite size pieces (keep it in casing). Brown sausage with onion and garlic.  Add green pepper and saute for 3 minutes. Add tomato cans, olives, and seasonings.  Simmer for 20 minutes.  Cook pasta according to instructions.  Serve with French bread and a bottle of red wine.  Enjoy!

Of course if you are not in the mood for cooking, you could always head on over to Carrabbas!  They make every pasta dish by hand with the freshest ingredients.  Even their sauces are made from scratch daily.  Now that's more than I can say about my "open the cans of tomatos sauce."

I moved to Houston, Texas about the time the first Carrabbas was opened there.  I remember going there and falling in love with the food and the restaurant!  Today, there are 232 Carrabba’s Italian Grill locations around the country.  Have you been to one near you?  If not, visit www.carrabbas.com for the closest Carrabba’s location.

Not in the mood for eating out?  They even have curbside carryout...
